Leadership Development Nevada PTA has made it it's mission to lead and train parents, teachers and community to advocate for the education, health and welfare of all children and families. We believe this starts with our leaders. Leadership development is the first step to having a successful PTA. In partnership with councils and regions, Nevada PTA offers several opportunities throughout each year for leaders to be trained. Nevada PTA has also developed the "key" program to encourage leaders to continue their leadership development. If you are a PTA leader and you haven't attended a training make it a priority today! Active, involved and informed leaders will provide parents and teachers with a way to share experiences and knowledge about children. As the largest and most effective child advocacy group in Nevada, PTA speaks with a unified voice for the education, health, safety and well-being of all children and youth. Do this with expertise for your children by becoming a developed leader! Trainings Throughout the year, Nevada PTA provides invaluable training opportunities. Most significantly, at their annual convention, held in the spring of each year and at their Summer Leadership Trainings which take place, of course, during the summer months. These extensive training marathons provide a buffet of activities, classes and workshops geared toward every level of experience, from the novice to the expert. PTA trainings are all day or multi-day events which offer variety, camaraderie and advice on "all things PTA". Resource Materials Nevada PTA has worked hard to provide its leaders with resources that can help them do "all things PTA" below is a listing of resources we currently offer.
Classes Nevada PTA has designed a series of classes for unit leaders which help to establish newly chartered PTAs, propel existing or long standing PTA's to the next level and maintain well established PTA's with ease. Basic Leadership Training and Advanced Leadership Training are some of our more popular classes, however, the savvy PTA leader won't want to miss Building Successful Partnerships or some of our other specialty classes! |
