Councils consist of five (5) or more units of PTAs within a town, city, county or other designated area and organized by authorization of Nevada PTA. A council is the coordinating body that promotes communication and cooperation among units and increases the capacity for service because of their unified strength. A PTA Council supports PTAs in most areas, but not all areas, within the state. Each Member unit shall be eligible to be represented by the president of the unit or his/her alternate and the set number of delegates as prescribed by the council bylaws.

Councils are the link between Nevada PTA and the local units.  Council members are always available for hand-holding and question answering.  The councils, supported by Nevada PTA provide training, support, materials and expertise to all their service units.  To find out additional information about councils in Nevada click on the name below
