Dear Community Member: I would like to extend a cordial invitation to you to join the Battle Born unit of the Nevada Parent Teacher Association. This is the state-wide group for business and community leaders across Nevada to become engaged and involved in the education of all of our young people – the future for every Nevadan. Nevada PTA is a non-partisan, non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Our mission is: • To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;• To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;• To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.The purposes of Nevada PTA are: • To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship;• To raise the standards of home life;• To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth;• To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth;• To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.Research has proven that when communities, schools ,and parents combine their strengths, successful students are the result! Please join us by submitting the yearly dues of $10 to our office today. Your additional tax-deductible gift of $25, $50, or $100 or more will enable us to develop and deliver much-needed resources to train parents to speak up for every child and become partners with educators and community members to build our future together.
